I guess I have to finally admit it...summer is over.
Gone are the routines: wake up at 7:30, play until 9, get the little monkey down for a nap, do alone stuff until he wakes up around 11, lunch and errands, maybe meet up with friends...then an afternoon nap at 2 and playing afterwards until daddy gets home.
Gone are the favorites: playing on the slide, swim lessons, lounging in PJs all day, making 2 leisurely cups of coffee, deciding I want something special for dinner and going out to buy it, searching for whatever object is of my desire recently.
Gone is the sleep: No more sleeping from 11-7. New routine is 10-4. Where will I make up those missing hours?
Hello to a new routine that's a bit more rigid - up at 4, have breakfast and coffee before 5, baby at daycare by 5:30, me at work by 5:45, copies and other daily prepwork, class from 7:15 to 2, meetings, etc. Add in their a regular time to eat, drink, pump and plan.
Hello to an easier way to eat healthier. With scheduled times to eat, I have to pre-plan well. Maybe now I'll be able to get that last serving of veggies in that I've been trying for for weeks.
Hello to valuing my free time even more.
Hello to inspiring kids and changing lives.
